When one thinks about outdoor furniture it is usually related to a patio or pool, where one would like to spend some time and could sit or lie or do something else. Daybeds should be picked with idea that most of time the people are going to sit in them or lie on them not just for sleeping, but just for pleasure. The former supposes quite shadowed place, maybe next to a pool and does not require some company; while the latter is a piece of furniture that is placed in packs, usually by the pool, too.
